Event Details

Calling all 8th - 12th grader members, get ready to join CVR for our Winter Kallah 2020!

Early Registration: $290, ends Jan 9th
Late Registration: $340, ends Jan 15th

Scholarship application deadline is Jan 3rd

Transportation via coach buses will be provided to Danbury from our BBYO communities, buses will leave your communities around 2:30 PM Friday afternoon.

Highlights for the convention include:

  • Keynote from Comedian and Mental Health Advocate Pamela Schuller 
  • Sports and Athletic Programming Track featuring Pro Baseball Player and National Jewish Sports Hall of Fame inductee Adam Greenberg, Krav Maga Lessons from The Legion, and Israeli Dancing
  • Food and Arts Programming Track featuring hands on cooking demos from food entrepreneur Jeffrey Yoskowitz, a session on modern day Jewish food revival using your taste buds to sample a variety of Jewish Foods, and a chance to make your own Israeli food!
  • Politics and Activism Programming Track including a look at politics and culture in Israel and a chance to learn about advocating against anti-Semitism in America
  • "A night in Tel Aviv" on Saturday evening where teens can experience a taste of the classic Laila Lavan (White Night) celebration that occurs once a year
  • Regional Inductions where Alephs and BBGs will be officially inducted into the order of the B'nai B'rith Girls and the Aleph Zadik Aleph

Is there scholarship available for this convention? Yes! You can apply for scholarship here Application deadline is Jan 5th

Can 8th graders attend? Yes. 8th graders can begin attending conventions in January of their 8th grade year. 

Is transportation provided? Yes, transportation via coach buses will be provided. Bus pick up locations will be sent out closer to the event date.

Is there anything specific I need to bring? A packing list will be emailed and posted on our Facebook page as we get closer to the event
