We are very happy to have both BBYO and non-BBYO members and your families joining us tonight. How many of you tonight are NOT members of BBYO? (pause and have them raise hands) - BBYO, let’s give them a round of applause! On behalf of BBYO we would like to thank our partners for their participation in this last installment of the Hunger Games series. Thank you to: - Dallas Connect, - NFTY, - USY, - JCC , - NCSY, - Greene Family Camp, - Yavneh Academy of Dallas, - Jewish Family Services, & North Texas Food Bank BBYO has a lot of cool things coming up, when you went through registration, you should have picked up a flyer with our next event - Hanukkah & Hockey with Broomball will take place on December 13th from 4 – 7 pm @ the Allen Event Center. For those of you who filled out the “Find yourself Here” form – your names are being put into a drawing at the Hanukkah & Hockey event – there will be special gifts and giveaways. You must to be present to win! We hope that you’ll join us for future events. We also want to recognize all of you for your participation in our Can-Tribute, canned food drive. We have collected hundreds of thousands of cans and they will all be donated to the North Texas Food Bank and Jewish Family Service Food Bank – just in time for the holidays! Did you know that 1 out of every 6 people walk around hungry? (pause) that’s more than 300,000 children. You are helping the 4.7 million people who are hungry in Texas each year. (pause) Please know that $1 will provide 3 meals. We hope that you’ll continue to support the North Texas Food Bank.
