Code of Conduct: Most Common Violations and Their Consequences
While participating in BBYO programs (chapter, regional, international, summer, etc.), it is expected that all teens will adhere to the BBYO Code of Conduct and Community Standards. A full list of the behavioral expectations and guidelines that teens and parents have agreed to as program participants can be found in the BBYO Code of Conduct.
- Elected teens who engage in a conduct violation or use their elected position as leverage over others may lose or be suspended from their elected position or be subject to additional disciplinary consequences.
- Dismissal from convention may likely result in additional disciplinary consequences, including but not limited to suspension from BBYO activities.
- Disciplinary consequences may escalate depending on the severity of the conduct violation.
