It has been a very busy month for our nine chapters across Toronto & York Region:

  • Over 100 teens attended Tzu Ba'Chutz: BBYO's Yom Ha'atzmaut Party hosted by our Israel Engagement Chair, Sarah, and our ShinShinit, Ayellet! We had an amazing celebration of Israel's Independence - the beach, the food, the streets - and much more!
  • Fifty middle-schoolers from across Toronto and York Region had a blast at our annual Niagara Falls Day Trip (click for photos)! Everyone enjoyed a spectacular day that included visits to the Fallsview Indoor Water Park, Voyage to the Falls Boat Tour, Great Canadian Midway, Ripley's Believe It or Not, Ripley's Moving Theatre, and so much more!
  • More than 100 members attended Spring Convention (click to read more) at URJ Camp George to wish farewell to the graduating seniors and elect next year's regional board, compete against other chapters in showcasing community ruach (spirit), and experience a meaningful and impactful summer camp-style Shabbat. Congratulations to Aryeh and Ariella for coordinating this amazing weekend and to the newly elected Regional Board (click for photo).
  • BBYO hosted a spirited delegation at UJA Federation's Walk With Israel (click for group photo) and we even managed to get a picture with Ontario Premier Kathleen Wynn (click for photo)!
  • An incredible 56 teen leaders have been elected to 11 Chapter and Regional executive boards across the region and we are set up for an amazing year ahead! Congratulations to all teens that participated in the election process - we're all looking forward to a successful year together!
  • Almost 250 members, parents, siblings, alumni and friends joined us for our Celebration of Teen Leadership (click for photos) as we honoured exceptional teen leaders from across Toronto and York Region. The evening included award presentations, chapter board announcements, and installations of our new regional board, as well as a silent auction, raffle and dessert reception.

All said, more than 80,000 Jewish teens around the world are having the time of their lives with BBYO - and we're seeking new teens to join us! Check out our Upcoming Events below and spread the word to your friends!
