February was a busy month for our nine chapters across Toronto & York Region:

  • Almost a hundred members and friends joined us for the annual BBYO Super Bowl Party hosted by Chapter Magen AZA #2360 at the Schwartz/Reisman Centre featuring big screen TVs, pizza and snacks, basketball, dodgeball, ping pong, mini sticks, and video games! Click here to see photos from the BBYO Super Bowl Party.
  • Over Family Day Weekend, nearly five thousand of the Jewish community’s top teen leaders, educators, professionals and philanthropists from across the world came together in Dallas, Texas for one of the largest Jewish communal events of the year at BBYO International Convention 2017. Delegates heard from and met inspiring speakers, deepened leadership skills, served the local community, celebrated Shabbat and learned together, had access to exclusive music performances and did their part to further a strong Jewish future. • Just last weekend, Alephs and B'nai B'rith Girls from across the region came together at our first-ever Think Tank to think big about the direction of our movement as we develop strategies to grow chapters and amplify programming. Afterwards, everyone had the chance to relax and unwind with Kickball, Yoga, and a Gauc-off coordinated by our AZAA Chair (Aleph Zadik Aleph Athletics) and BBGG Chair (B'nai B'rith Girls Games), Mitchell & Annette! All said, more than 80,000 Jewish teens around the world are having the time of their lives with BBYO - and we're seeking new teens to join us! Check out our Upcoming Events below and spread the word to your friends!

BBYO advisors and madrichim are committed volunteers who dedicate hundreds of hours to BBYO every year and strive to help BBYO members and their chapters reach their full potential. While we thank them throughout the year, we take the month of March to especially celebrate our chapter advisors.

They’re “frientors” and role models, and BBYO wouldn’t be the same without them. Join us this month in thanking our wonderful volunteer advisors and madrichim who work with chapters across the Greater Toronto Area:

  • Michael Gallowitz & Edan Kelner - Chapter Achim AZA #1016
  • Rochelle Derlick & Michelle Naftalis - Chapter Ahava BBG #2447
  • Joanne Apter & Etelka Ziegler-Hazen - Chapter Chaverot BBG #2307
  • Shia Cooperman-Green & Eli Artman - Chapter Exodus AZA #1111
  • Elaine Raifman - Chapter L'Chaim BBG #2444
  • Eitan Rachamim & Adam Goodman - Chapter Magen AZA #2360

Thank you to our volunteer advisors and madrichim for helping BBYO teens develop critical leadership skills while learning more about their Jewish culture and heritage!
