Genesis Fellowship

The BBYO Genesis Fellowship is a full-time, paid, two-year immersive fellowship program offering professional experience working alongside BBYO teen leaders and an opportunity to learn all the facets of a not-for-profit business!

Candidates selected for this prestigious Fellowship will work within an assigned community during the school year. Throughout the Fellowship, participants will gain a plethora of experience and skills including opportunities to:

  • Work with and engage different BBYO departments and teams
  • Gain a variety of resume-building skills, such as budgeting, marketing, sales, and event planning
  • Learn how to analyze and interpret data to drive decision making
  • Develop influence and leadership acumen as you inspire others to action
  • Build relationships as you network with parents, teens, and stakeholders in BBYO communities
  • Receive tailored 1:1 coaching throughout your time in the Fellowship

Meet the 2027 Genesis Fellows

Nicki Borovsky

Nicki is from Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, and graduated from Michigan State University in 2021. After college, she worked for two years at the Hillel Campus Alliance of Michigan as a Jewish Student Life Coordinator, followed by two years at Northwestern Hillel as Director of Engagement. In addition to her professional experience, Nicki is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Jewish Professional Studies at the Spertus Institute for Jewish Learning and Leadership.

Lauren Cayle

Lauren is from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and is an alumna of Wisconsin Region BBYO. She is a graduate of American University with a degree in Sociology and Jewish Studies. BBYO is where Lauren first discovered her passion for leadership, and she’s thrilled to serve as a Genesis Fellow in BBYO’s Lonestar Region in Houston, Texas. She is excited to give back to the Jewish community by helping others find the same sense of purpose and belonging that BBYO has always given her. In her free time, Lauren enjoys traveling, cooking, baking, and exploring new places!

Jordan Cheatle

Originally from Quakertown, Pennsylvania, just outside of Philadelphia, Jordan attended Penn State University, where she studied comparative literature and global and international studies. Following graduation, Jordan worked at her alma mater’s Hillel as a Springboard Fellow. Outside of her professional work, she is an avid Philadelphia and Penn State sports fan and enjoys reading, staying active, and traveling.

Aiden David

Aiden was born and raised in Scottsdale, Arizona, and earned a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Human Performance from the University of Arizona. During college, he served on the executive board of Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity and was actively involved in Dance Marathon. In his free time, Aiden enjoys reading, playing soccer, and playing pool.

Lila Drasner

Lila is originally from Cleveland, Ohio, and graduated from the University of Michigan with a BA in Biopsychology, Cognition, and Neuroscience. During her time in school, she was an active member of Delta Phi Epsilon and Michigan Hillel, and was involved in research within the psychology department. Lila has also worked at Camp Wise for five summers, leading and mentoring teens. She is passionate about leadership development, community, and relationship building.

Tomer Glazer

Tomer recently graduated from the University of Texas with a degree in philosophy. He grew up in Israel in the Emek Hefer region and later moved to Palo Alto, California, where he participated in BBYO Central Region West. Tomer enjoys traveling, hiking, and discussing philosophy.

Kalie Lehman

Kalie previously worked part-time with BBYO and brings professional experience as a counselor and mental health specialist. She earned a BA in Psychology from the University of Wisconsin–La Crosse and a master’s degree in School Counseling from the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee. Kalie has worked extensively with teens, incorporating a strong foundation in counseling and mental health support. Outside of her professional work, she enjoys spending time with her goldendoodle, cooking and hosting dinners with friends, and enjoying the outdoors.

Jesse Oxenberg

Jesse is originally from Boca Raton, Florida. He graduated from the Florida State University and is currently earning a master’s degree in Data Science from the University of Pittsburgh. Jesse previously interned with BBYO’s Movement Experiences team and has staffed numerous summer programs. He is passionate about teen engagement, community building, and creating meaningful experiences. In his free time, Jesse enjoys producing music, watching movies, following sports, and exploring Dallas.

Gabby Parker

Gabby was born and raised in Los Angeles and was actively involved in the Pacific Western Region as a teen. She attended San Diego State University, where she earned a B.A. in Education. After graduating, Gabby spent several years teaching preschool before returning to work in Jewish teen programming.

Hudson Price

Hudson is from Stamford, CT, and is an alumni of CVR. He graduated with a degree in Sport and Recreation Management in 2022, and spent two years working in AAU basketball, running events from Maine to Virginia. He is thrilled to be able to give back to the same community and organization that helped him grow as a teen. Hudson is a huge Nets fan, a TCG collector and Vendor, and a proud cat dad!

Alex Reich

Alex is originally from Asheville, North Carolina. He graduated from Goucher College, where he studied Education and minored in Sociology and Anthropology. Alex is an Eastern Region alum. Outside of his professional work, he enjoys playing guitar, exploring photography, and cooking.

Eric Rome

Eric is originally from Livingston, New Jersey, and recently graduated from Temple University, where he majored in Sociology. During his time in college, he was deeply involved in the Hillel community. Eric is passionate about Jewish community building and social justice. In his free time, he enjoys weight lifting, trying new restaurants, and going to the beach.

Jules Schwartz

Jules is a proud alum of the Hudson Valley Region. She graduated from Elon University with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and currently lives in New York City. Over several summers, Jules has worked at multiple camps, where she led programs, mentored campers, and helped foster strong community environments. She is dedicated to creating spaces where young people can connect, learn, and take on leadership roles. In her free time, Jules enjoys hot yoga, trying new restaurants, and traveling.

Tami Sharoni

Tami is originally from Long Island, New York, and graduated from The Ohio State University, where she studied Strategic Communication and minored in Music, Media, and Enterprise. She spent 13 summers at Camp Taconic as a camper, counselor, and volleyball and basketball coach, experiences that helped shape her passion for leadership and community. In her free time, Tami enjoys art, playing sports, music, and spending time laughing with friends.

Max Stone

Max recently graduated from Indiana University with a degree in Sports Marketing and Management. He is an alum of BBYO’s Miami Region and Hurricanes AZA #843, where he served on both regional and chapter boards. Outside of his professional background, Max enjoys watching and playing sports, working out, and listening to new music.

Isabel Strauss

Isabel is from Deerfield, Illinois, and recently graduated from Tulane University, where she studied Sociology with a minor in Spanish. She has spent 13 summers at Beber Camp as a camper, general counselor, and member of the Leadership Team. Outside of her professional experience, Isabel enjoys singing, reading, practicing yoga, and spending time outdoors.

Ariella Altchouler

Ariella was born and raised in Cleveland but lived in Israel for the past ten years until she recently relocated back to Cleveland with her husband. She received her BFA in photography from the Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design in Jerusalem as well as a teaching degree from the Levinsky College for Education in Tel Aviv. Ariella is excited to get reacquainted with Cleveland and is thankful for the opportunity to be a part of such an amazing organization. She can’t wait to meet and start working with teens.

Abraham Barnes

Abe is originally from Oakland, California, and graduated from Indiana University with a degree in sports marketing and management and a minor in Jewish Studies. Abe is excited to return to the organization that helped him grow so much in high school. He is looking forward to gaining new experiences while building professional skills and meeting great people along the way. In his free time, Abe loves to watch and play sports, including baseball, basketball, and football.

Lillian Brown

Lily graduated from the University of Colorado with a bachelor's degree in media studies and a minor in journalism. She is excited to begin her Genesis Fellowship in BBYO Nassau Suffolk Region. After years of involvement with BBYO in her hometown of St. Louis, Missouri, she is eager to connect with new people and deepen her relationship with an organization that has greatly impacted her life. In her free time, she loves traveling—having recently completed a Semester at Sea— spending time with friends and enjoying the company of any and all animals.

Hannah Fritts

Hannah was born and raised in Dallas, Texas, and is an alumna of BBYO North Texas Oklahoma Region. She graduated from Elon University with a degree in middle grades education. Hannah sees the value of informal educational settings and what can’t always be taught in a classroom. This has strengthened her passion for what she knew to be true: BBYO allows Jewish teens to better understand who they are by learning how to elevate each other's voices as peers and community builders. Hannah loves all things yoga, travel, and cooking and can’t wait to see what’s in store in her new role!

Emily Kolodney

Emily is from Austin, Texas and an alumna of BBYO Lonestar Region. She graduated from Muhlenberg College with a degree in Judaic studies and religious studies. In addition to being a former International S’ganit and International N’siah, Emily has been involved with BBYO as an AZA & BBG Movement Intern for the past three years. She is passionate about leadership development and community building and looks forward to contributing her skills and enthusiasm to the fellowship program!

Eva Muir

Eva has found herself drawn to working in the Jewish non-profit world since her graduation from SUNY New Paltz with a bachelor’s degree in sociology and women’s, gender and sexuality studies. Eva moved to Philadelphia in 2022 and began volunteering in BBYO Liberty Region and staffing IC the past two years. Eva loves seeing the moments of Jewish joy between BBYO teens and being a part of the Jewish community. In her spare time, you can find her drinking iced coffee, going on walks, and listening to The Avett Brothers. She is excited to continue her BBYO journey in SJR!

Julia Senise

Julia is delighted to be Big Apple’s Genesis Fellow! She is excited to be working with the region she was heavily involved in during her time in BBYO. A graduate of SUNY New Paltz, Julia studied international relations, Jewish studies, and theatre performance. She is thrilled to bring her passion for strengthening the Jewish community to this role and is eager to form meaningful connections through the fellowship and throughout her region.
