We can't wait to kick off the 2024-2025 school year with our Annual Yacht Party Kickoff! Join over 500+ Jewish teens for a night of cruising, schmoozing, and dancing. Enjoy a lively atmosphere with a DJ, breathtaking views of the city skyline at sunset, and much more.

Transportation is available from Northbrook, Buffalo Grove, Skokie, Naperville, and Oak Park. 

New to BBYO? Sign up for a new BBYO membership here between July 10 and Sunday, September 15, and come to the Yacht Party for FREE  (while space is available). You will receive an email from BBYO staff within a few days of becoming a member with your unique discount code.

My teen is a new member of BBYO as of July 10. How do they get the discount code to register for the Yacht Party for free?

You will receive a welcome email within a few days of becoming a new member with your unique discount code to register for the Yacht Party for free. If you register for the Yacht Party before you get the discount code, email [email protected] for a refund.
Is transportation available?

Yes! Transportation is available from Northbrook, Buffalo Grove, Skokie, Oak Park, and Naperville for all teens who register by Sunday, September 15th (or until the event sells out). Late Registrations will not be guaranteed transportation. Please email us at [email protected] with any questions. 

What time are the buses picking up?

We are still finalizing bus times and will send exact times and bus locations the week of the event. Below are the current estimates, which are subject to change.

  • Naperville - arrive by 3:15 PM

  • Northbrook - arrive by 3:30 PM

  • Buffalo Grove - arrive by 3:30 PM

  • Skokie - arrive by 3:30 PM

  • Oak Park - arrive by 4:00 PM

  • Own transportation - arrive at Navy Pier between 4:45 - 5:00 PM

What time will the buses return to the suburbs? 

The yacht docks back at Navy Pier at 8:00 PM, buses will leave from Navy Pier around 8:15 PM to their final destination. We will send out the estimated timing before the event. 

What is included in the registration fee?

Registration includes 2.5 hours on the yacht, a buffet dinner, a DJ, and transportation to/from the above locations if teens register by Sunday, September 15 (or until the event sells out). 

Who can come to this event? 

All Jewish 8th-12th graders in Illinois are invited. You do not need to be a BBYO member to attend this event, but if you become a member between July 10th - September 15th, you can come to the Yachty Party for free (until the event sells out). 

My teen wants to attend, but does not know anyone else attending. What do I do?

Email [email protected] and we will connect them ahead of time with BBYO members from your area. BBYO is a great way to make new friends and connect with others. Pro tip: check out a local chapter program before attending the BBYO Yacht Party. 

Can I cancel my registration?

You can cancel your registration by Friday, September 6. Any cancellations after that will not be refundable.

What safety procedures will be in place for this event?

Security is always our top priority. BBYO is working with the yacht's security team, JUF, and local law enforcement. We never share the location of our bus stops or the yacht publicly and are discreet during boarding. More information will be sent to all participants prior to the event date. Who staffs this event?

The event is staffed by 25 adults who are all either employees of BBYO, BBYO volunteer advisors, or Jewish professionals in the Chicago community.
