Q&A

Is there scholarship available?

Yes! After completing your registration you can apply for scholarship at https://bbyo.org/scholarship-form. Scholarships will be given on a rolling basis. Reach out to us at [email protected] with any questions.

Is transportation available?

We will be providing transportation for our BBYO communities in Naperville, Chicago, Homewood, and Champaign. All other communities will need to provide their own transportation. Be sure to select your transportation option when registering.

We will send a confirmation of transportation selection and finalized times when it gets closer to the event. Below are tentative bus times:

Naperville: Teens should plan to arrive to Congregation Beth Shalom Naperville at 3:30pm

Chicago: Teens should plan to arrive to Best Buy on N Elston at 3:30pm.

Homewood: Teens should plan to arrive to Shir Tikvah at 3:00pm.

Champaign: Teens should plan to arrive to pick up location (TBD) at 2:00pm.

Can I drive myself to the hotel?

Teens providing their own transportation are not permitted to drive themselves to overnight BBYO events and will need to arrange for their own ride to and from the event.

Who is this convention for?

This convention is for all members of BBYO in 8th-12th grade. To learn more about membership visit bbyo.org/become-a-member.

What is included in the registration fee?

Registration covers the costs of convention weekend including lodging, meals, supplies, transportation to Sunday’s Sports Day programming, convention swag, and more!

Can I cancel my registration?

You can cancel your registration for a full refund through November 18th. Starting November 19th, cancellations will be non-refundable as confirmation will have already been placed with the hotel.

What health and safety procedures will be in place for this event?

BBYO is working with local guidelines and an internal medical team to determine regulations for this event. Below are some of the guidelines that have already been set for this event – we will send out any updates prior to the event.

-   Teens must be fully vaccinated (as determined by CDC) to attend this event.

-   As of now, all teens registered will be required to wear a mask while at the event and when on the busses to and from the event except when in their assigned hotel room or eating.

-   All participants must attend the full convention weekend, we will not be allowing any teens to come and go throughout the weekend.

-   All staff attending are fully vaccinated.

How many teens are in a room?

Teens will be assigned to a room with up to 3 other teens (4 total) and will be assigned tables for all meals to limit the number of people participants are unmasked with.

If you are interested in having your teen in a double (room with 2 beds and one roommate) instead of our standard rooms, click THIS LINK to register for convention. This link will bring you to a different registration that reflects the additional pricing to cover the difference of the room rates (an additional $51/person). Please know that in this situation, we will do our best to place teens with their roommate requests but both teens will have had to select this option in order to accommodate.
