This members-only experience is bound to set the bar. All 8th-12th grade KIO Region teens are invited to Cincinnati, from March 25-27, for a Spring Convention like you've never seen before. Aside from diving deep into the uniqueness of our BBYO siblinghood, we will celebrate our past year and set our sights on what's to come.
After Fall Convention we know that a weekend back together is what you need.
WHAT TO EXPECT 👀
Spring Convention is the topper on the cake! It's a weekend that includes unique regional programming, a convention outing where will we have the opportunity to get out of the hotel and explore Cincinnati, and a private evening boat party. The weekend is tied together on Sunday morning as we move to partake in J-Serve experiences like you've never seen before.
COME J-SERVE WITH US!
Over the weekend of March 25-27, teens from across the world will be participating in J-Serve; A unique opportunity to band together through service as a united global network committed to fulfilling the Jewish values of gemilut chasidim, acts of loving kindness, tzedakah, just and charitable giving, and tikkun olam, the responsibility to repair the world. This year, Jewish teens from across KIO Region will spend time on this special day and throughout the convention to make their community and the world a better place.

TRANSPORTATION: All transportation to and from convention is included in your registration fee. Transportation and logistics emails will go out one week prior to the convention and will include transportation info and timing for each city. Please note teens are never allowed to drive to BBYO conventions.
ATTENDEES: This incredible weekend is open to any BBYO member in grades 8-12 in the Kentucky Indiana Ohio Region, BBYO staff, and advisors.
REGISTRATION: Registration will open Feb 23rd & close on Thursday, March 10th at midnight. Late registrations will be accepted based on availability. The last day to receive a refund is March 10th at midnight.
SCHOLARSHIPS: Scholarships are available. The first deadline to submit scholarship applications is Monday, Feb 28th at midnight. In order to be eligible for the first round of scholarships, you must apply by the end of early-bird registration. The scholarship form must be completed online at: https://bbyo.org/scholarship-form. Each family will be contacted, via email, by the regional office with the amount of scholarship awarded by Friday, Mar 5th. Once you accept the scholarship, the regional office will register you for the convention, and then you can pay the balance. If you are requesting scholarship money, please do not register online until awards are announced. Scholarships will remain available after the deadline based on availability.
HEALTH REQUIREMENTS AND FORMS: Beginning in August 2021, BBYO is requiring all teens, staff, and advisors to attend any overnight programs (chapter, city, council, regional, and international programs) based in the United States to be fully vaccinated (vax date plus two weeks). Currently, Moderna, Pfizer, Astra Zeneca, or Johnson & Johnson are the accepted vaccines.

If your teen attended a BBYO summer program and has already uploaded their vaccination card to CampDoc, BBYO will transfer that over to their MyBBYO account so you do not need to do anything

If your teen did not attend a BBYO summer program, follow these steps:

Go to bbyo.org and sign in to your account

Under program alerts, you will see vaccine acknowledgment with the name of each of your teens and a button for the waiver

Click on the complete waiver

Please read through an entire waiver, sign and click submit

Reminder: this will NOT show up on a teen account only a parent account
BBYO works with CampDoc, the leading electronic health record system. All participants and parents are required to complete a health file before attending a BBYO convention. Once you have registered for the convention, you will receive an email inviting you to join CampDoc. Accept the invitation and complete or update all forms. These forms provide dietary, medical, and other important information. Teens will not be allowed to attend without a complete profile.
ACCOMMODATIONS AND WHAT TO BRING: A detailed packing list will be sent out in the weeks leading up to the convention. The teens will be staying in quad occupancy hotel rooms, two teens per bed. The food will be kosher-style – no mixing of milk and meat.
