Open to any Jewish Teen in 8th - 12th Grade!

Eliza Orlins, Survivor and Amazing Race star, public defender, political candidate, and all-around awesome person, joins BBYO Manhattan Region on Sunday, 1/31 at 2PM to kick off the new semester with a live Q&A led by our teen-leaders and an interactive game with Eliza.

Eliza is a Manhattan public defender and outspoken advocate for our city’s most vulnerable. For more than a decade, she has represented over 3,000 New Yorkers who otherwise would not have been able to afford a lawyer.  In 2004, she competed on CBS’s Survivor, an experience that netted her a national following, which she uses to advocate on behalf of criminal justice reform and other social justice issues. In 2020, Eliza announced her candidacy for Manhattan DA, with a platform designed to transform criminal justice and make New York safer for everyone. 

We're excited to hear Eliza's story and have some fun on 1/31!
 

All proceeds will go to support BBYO Manhattan Region and one chapter's Stand Up causes.

Who is this event for?
Kickoff is for any Jewish teen in the 8th - 12th grade. You do NOT need to be a BBYO member to attend this event.

Where's the Zoom link?
We'll email you the Zoom link and passcode the Friday before the event.

Why are you charging?
We're charging $10 because program registration fees like this ensure the money MHR needs to function, succeed, and provide transformative Jewish experiences for Jewish teens. We're also donating a portion of the proceeds to one chapter's Stand UP cause.
