BBYO Staff Member Honored for Nurturing AIPAC High School Champions

BBYO, the world’s leading pluralistic Jewish teen movement, is thrilled to announce that BBYO professional staff member Joey Eisman received the AIPAC FacultyAdvisor of the Year Award at AIPAC Policy Conference 2015 earlier this month in Washington, DC.

Eisman is BBYO’s Associate for Israel and Global Jewish Peoplehood, a role in which he coordinates BBYO's Israel and global initiatives and partnerships. A large part of his portfolio is supporting Jewish teens in understanding, embracing and advocating for a strong U.S.-Israel relationship. One outcome of his work this program year is the launch of BBYO’s Teens4Israel initiative in partnership with AIPAC, the Centre for Israel & Jewish Affairs, CJPAC and StandWithUs.

AIPAC’s Faculty Advisor of the Year Award recognizes professionals and volunteers who have done the most to nurture AIPAC high school champions. Eisman is one of four recipients of the award this year. The other recipients include: Rabbi Richard Kirsch, Rae Kushner Yeshiva High School (New Jersey); Kathy Sklar, Akiva Hebrew Day School (Michigan); and Rabbi Yehuda Oratz, Beth Tfilo Dahan Community School (Maryland).

“It is a distinct hhonor to receive this award, and I congratulate my fellow award winners,” said Eisman. “I am excited to continue to further BBYO's partnership with AIPAC and promote more opportunities for Jewish teens to strengthen the U.S.-Israel relationship and their commitment to the Jewish Homeland.”
