Central Region West

Home to the first chapter of the B’nai B’rith Girls (BBYO’s sisterhood) in 1944, Central Region West (CRW) today comprises 19 BBYO chapters in San Francisco, Marin, the Peninsula, South Bay, and into Oakland and the Sierras. From regional conventions to local chapter events each week, CRW creates compelling environments where young Jews connect with their peers and embrace their place in our community. BBYO’s unique youth-led program model meets members where they are and unites teens across our Movement towards building a bright Jewish future. 

Nearly every Saturday night, our teens gather within their chapters for BBYO programming. Events are planned by teens, for teens, and programming ranges from fun activities like ice skating and camping overnights, to communal Shabbat celebrations and leadership trainings. Chapters also host events throughout the week, including Friday Night Shabbats and Sunday Events. A parent, advisor, vetted community volunteer, or regional staff member is always on hand to ensure safety and health.

Through teen-led and staff-supported programs, BBYO Central Region West provides our members with opportunities to develop leadership skills and make a positive impact on their communities, the world, and themselves. We constantly strive to provide more Jewish teens with more meaningful Jewish experiences each and every day, so that they may become the future Jewish leaders in their communities and in the Jewish world at large.
