Evergreen Region (EGR) is comprised of chapters in Oregon, Washington, and Idaho. EGR currently has 17 chapters in 6 different communities:
Portland, Hood River, Eugene, Corvallis, Ashland, Bend, Oregon. Seattle/Mercer Island, WA, and Boise & Sun Valley, ID.
Together, Evergreen Region represents over 600 Jewish teens in our area. By becoming a member of Evergreen Region, teens are afforded the opportunity to experience local programming in their communities, regional programming such as community service, sporting events, and weekend-long conventions, and international programming at large-scale conferences and BBYO Summer Experiences.
Our chapters hold events every week during the school year at locations around the region. Events are planned by teens, for teens, and programming ranges from fun activities to more serious programming around social justice, Judaism, and leadership development. An advisor or regional staff member is always on hand to ensure safety and health.
Fun Fact: Evergreen Region is known throughout the world as the “Chillest in the Order!” EGR is unique and outspoken, putting a Pacific Northwest twist into BBYO.
