Kansas City Council is comprised of chapters in the Greater Kansas City area and is part of BBYO’s Mid-America Region, which includes Omaha, St. Louis, and Minnesota. With four chapters, the council engages more than 200 Jewish teens locally.
As members, teens have opportunities to participate in local programming, regional experiences such as dances, community service days, sports events, and weekend conventions, as well as international programs through BBYO’s broader network.
Through youth-led and staff-supported programs, BBYO Kansas City Council empowers teens to develop leadership skills and make a positive impact in their communities and beyond, while building meaningful Jewish experiences.
Kansas City Council also offers BBYO Connect, a program for 6th–8th graders that introduces younger teens to BBYO through monthly social events and opportunities to build friendships and community before high school.
Support of this program is provided by Jewish Federation of Greater Kansas City, Jewish Community Foundation of Kansas City, Flo Harris Foundation, and the Karin Lichterman Memorial Fund.
