Omaha Cornbelt Council (OCC) is a council within BBYO’s Mid-America Region and serves Jewish teens across the Greater Omaha area.
As the founding city of AZA, OCC has a rich history and engages around 200 Jewish teens through its two chapters, MZ Yoshannah BBG #2503 and Mother Chapter AZA #1. The council is supported by Omaha’s active B’nai B’rith chapter and the Jewish Federation of Omaha.
Events are planned by teens, for teens, and range from social activities like ice skating and camping overnights to communal Shabbat celebrations and leadership trainings. A parent, advisor, or regional staff member is always on hand to ensure safety and health.
Fun fact: Omaha is the birthplace of AZA and home to the first-ever chapter, Mother Chapter AZA #1.
