Northern Region East (NRE): The Northern Virginia (NoVA) Council comprises chapters in Arlington, Fairfax, and Loudoun counties, bringing together more than 200 Jewish teens across the region.
With six chapters, teens participate in local programming in their communities and in regional experiences such as dances, community service days, sports events, and weekend conventions. Members also have access to international programming through BBYO’s broader network.
Chapters hold events every two weeks, all planned by teens, for teens, ranging from social activities like apple picking for Rosh Hashanah to impactful initiatives like collecting hundreds of pounds of food for local food banks. A parent, advisor, or regional staff member is always on hand to ensure safety and health.
Fun fact: NoVA Council’s colors are red and black, and its mascot is Opus the Penguin.
