4 to a Room 2021 Connecticut Valley Region Regional Convention

Vaccination Required to Attend.

ATTENDEES:  All 8th - 12th grade BBYO members from BBYO Connecticut Valley Region 

PURPOSE: This convention brings together our BBYO Connecticut Valley members for 3 days of creative and thought-provoking programs as well as our traditional regional programs – celebrating Shabbat, AZA/BBG business meetings, limmud electives, and Shuk. Coming soon: speaker announcements, song leader announcements and more!    

COST AND REGISTRATION: The cost of the convention to room 4 in a room is $325

SCHOLARSHIP: Scholarship is available. Applications are due by 4/10 (you will still qualify for the early bird rate). Apply at bbyo.org/scholarship-form 

HEALTH REQUIREMENTS AND FORMS: Beginning in August 2021, BBYO is requiring all teens, staff, and advisors attending any overnight programs (chapter, city, council, regional, and international programs) based in the United States to be fully vaccinated (vax date plus two weeks). Currently, Moderna, Pfizer, Astra Zeneca, or Johnson & Johnson are the accepted vaccines.

BBYO works with CampDoc, the leading electronic health record system.  All participants and parents are required to complete a health file before attending a BBYO convention. Once you have registered for the convention, you will receive an email inviting you to join CampDoc. Accept the invitation and complete or update all forms. These forms provide dietary, medical and other important information. Teens will not be allowed to attend without a complete profile. 

SUPERVISION: The convention will be staffed by BBYO professionals and chapter advisors.    

ACCOMMODATIONS AND WHAT TO BRING: Please bring toiletries, money for Regional Shuk, nice clothes for Friday night Shabbat. Full packing list will be sent the week of convention. Regional Convention is held in a hotel in Windsor, CT. The food will be kosher and kosher style – no mixing of milk and meat. When meat is served it is kosher. 

ARRIVAL/DEPARTURE/TRANSPORTATION: Convention will begin at 4pm on Friday, May 6th. Buses will leave communities to ensure a 4 pm arrival in Windsor, CT. The convention will end on Sunday, May 8th at 2pm. Transportation info will be sent a week before convention. Transportation is included in the cost of the convention fee. Teens are never allowed to drive to BBYO Conventions. 

Cost: $400 normal registration until 4/17; $350 early bird fee until 4/3
