Eastern Region New Member Weekend 
October 16th-18th on ZOOM!

ATTENDEES: All new members of Eastern Region BBYO from Virginia, North Carolina and Southeast Councils.

PURPOSE:  New Member Weekend is a convention planned specifically for new members to BBYO. Programming during the weekend will revolve around the basics of BBYO: programming, history and how chapters function. Teens will experience their first virtual BBYO Shabbat Experiences. The participants will have the opportunity to meet other Jewish teens from North Carolina, Virginia, South Carolina and southern Georgia, learn all about BBYO and have a great time. 

SCHOLARSHIPS: Scholarships are available for New Member Weekend. The deadline to submit scholarship applications is Wednesday, September 30. The scholarship form must be completed online at https://bbyo.org/scholarship-form. Each family will be contacted, via email, by the regional office with the amount of scholarship awarded October 1st and 2nd. Once you accept the scholarship, the regional office will register you for the convention and then you can pay the balance. If you are requesting scholarship money, please do not register online until awards are announced.   

WHAT TO BRING/HOW TO PREPARE: Please make sure you have a computer with a good internet connection and a space with no distractions when logging on to our virtual convention. Bring a positive attitude, big ideas and fun energy! We will be sending out information in the coming weeks with more specifics on how to prepare for our time together.
