2024 Eastern Region Spring Cultural Convention: March 29th-31st, 2024
ATTENDEES: All 8th - 12th grade BBYO members from Eastern Region
PURPOSE: This convention brings together our Eastern members for 3 days of friendly competition, honoring our outgoing presidents, and election of our Regional Board!
COST AND REGISTRATION: The cost of convention is $300, not including transportation. Transportation will be $70 for any teens riding a bus and the link to register will be sent once convention registration closes.
TO REGISTER: Go to bbyo.org and fill out our secure registration form. Make sure you are answering all questions. If you are having a problem registering, please email [email protected]. Refunds will not be given if you cancel the week of the convention.
SCHOLARSHIPS: If you are requesting scholarship money, please do not register online until awards are announced.Scholarships are available for Regional Convention. The deadline to submit scholarship applications is Sunday, March 10th at midnight. The scholarship form must be completed online at: https://bbyo.org/scholarship-form. Each family will be contacted, via email, by the regional office with the amount of scholarship awarded the week of March 11th. Once you accept the scholarship, the regional office will register you for the convention and then you can pay the balance.
HEALTH REQUIREMENTS AND FORMS:
CampDoc: BBYO works with CampDoc, the leading electronic health record system. All participants and parents are required to complete a health file before attending a BBYO convention. Once you have registered for the convention, you will receive an email inviting you to join CampDoc. Accept the invitation and complete or update all forms. These forms provide dietary, medical and other important information. Teens will not be allowed to attend without a complete profile. All CampDoc information is due NO LATER THAN March 24th.
SUPERVISION: The convention will be staffed by BBYO professionals and chapter advisors. There will be 1 staff person for every 15 teens.
ACCOMMODATIONS AND WHAT TO BRING: We will be staying a camp for this convention. All cabins have heat and air conditioning. Teens should bring bedding or a sleeping bag for a twin bed. We will be sending out a full packing list closer to convention.
