About Us
About Great Midwest Region
Great Midwest Region spans across Illinois, primarily in and around the Chicagoland area; including Chicago, Buffalo Grove, Deerfield, Northbrook, Skokie, Wilmette, Naperville, and our newest communities in Oak Park and Hyde Park!
Through youth-led and staff-supported programs, BBYO Great Midwest Region gives our members opportunities to develop leadership skills and positively affect their communities, the world, and themselves. We constantly strive to provide more Jewish teens with more meaningful Jewish experiences each and every day, so that they may become the future Jewish leaders in their communities and in the Jewish world at large.
Community Partners:
-
Jewish Community Center Chicago together with BBYO GMR are two of Chicagoland’s largest providers of activities to the Jewish teen audience. We work closely together as we have found that collaboration will leverage the strengths of both organizations, applying BBYO’s time-tested approach to teen leadership and year-round engagement to JCC Chicago’s broad engagement with thousands of teens through camp, community service, employment, and an array of skill and leadership development activities.
-
Keshet is a one-of-a-kind organization that brings classroom experiences, camps, sports, social and vocational activities, and residential opportunities to 600 people with disabilities and special needs each year. BBYO works closely with Keshet to provide inclusion support for teens who are participating in BBYO locally. Please contact us at [email protected] to be connected with a Keshet staff member to discuss availability and schedule an intake prior to registering.
