About Us

Lonestar Region (LSR) connects over 1,200 Jewish teens across Houston, Austin, San Antonio, and El Paso through 18 local chapters that serve as hubs for teen life in each community.
 
Teens in LSR have opportunities at every level. They can get involved in local chapter programs, join regional experiences such as conventions, service days, and sports events, and take part in international conventions and summer programs that connect them to a global network of Jewish teens.
 
Our programming is built by teens, for teens. Events take place in a variety of settings, including community spaces, synagogues, homes, and fun local venues across the region. Each experience reflects what teens are excited about, whether that is social, service-oriented, or focused on leadership. Advisors, parents, and staff are always present to ensure a safe and supportive environment.
 
LSR is a place where teens step up, take ownership, and grow. Through youth-led, staff-supported experiences, members build leadership skills, strengthen their communities, and develop a lasting connection to Jewish life.
 
Fun fact: LSR’s spirit colors are red, white, and blue, and our mascot is the armadillo!
