Event Details

HVR's Leadership Executives Conference, known as HVR Execs, is a weekend long retreat for all chapter and regional board members to learn, grow, and bond. All chapter leaders are expected to be in attendance Sept 13 - 15 in order to learn about their respective positions, the region, and the international order as a whole. There will be dedicated time for board bonding, counterpart network bonding, and chapter planning. Programming will include Shabbat services, HVR Launch Night, Havdallah, leadership training, network and board bonding, and much more! Transportation will be provided.

We are aware that Saturday, Sept 14th is an ACT date. Should your teen need to miss a portion of the weekend or come late due to the exam, we look forward to having them with us for as much as they can join us. Unfortunately, with the timing of the Jewish holidays this year, there are very few weekends where gathering as a leadership community is possible. 

 

Earlybird Registration: $375 through Wed, Aug 28th

Regular Registration: $425 Thur, Aug 29th - Wed, Sept 4th

Registration Ends: Wednesday, Sept 4th at 11:59pm

Scholarship is available! Scholarship applications are due by Sunday, Sept 1st and will be applied to the earlybird or regular registration based on the date/time you apply. Scholarship decisions will be sent out on Monday, Sept 2nd. Please do not register until staff has confirmed your scholarship amount. Apply here. 

Refunds will not be available after Wednesday, Sept 4th at 8 pm.

Q&A

Will transportation be provided?
Yes! Transportation will be provided from the JCC of Mid-Westchester on Friday, Sept 13th and return to the JCC on Sunday, Sept 15th. If you would prefer to drop off/pick up your teen directly from camp, you will be able to indicate this on the registration form. 

If you are interested in a Northern Westchester bus stop, please also indicate this in the registration form. This is not a guarantee, but will depend on the amount of interest.

I'm taking the ACT this weekend. What are my options?
School comes first! We recognize that some teens will need to miss a portion of the weekend, whether that's coming late or coming on time but leaving for the test and then returning. Registration cost will be prorated on a case-by-case basis depending on the amount of time you will be joining us. Please email Regional Director, Sarah, to coordinate your plans.   

Is scholarship available?

Where will I be sleeping?
Teens will be sleeping in shared cabins with 14-18 teens. Each cabin has two showers, two toilets, and multiple sinks. Beds are twin sized bunk beds. Bedding is NOT provided. Please bring whatever you need to be comfortable, whether that's a sleeping bag, sheets and a blanket, etc. 

This is my first BBYO Immersive experience. What is expected of me?
All participants are expected to follow the Code of Conduct. Any violations will earn immediate disciplinary actions and in certain cases, participants will be sent home at any hour at their own expense and can be suspended from the BBYO program.

I don't usually like the food served at overnight programs. Can I order delivery instead?
No food delivery is allowed during an overnight program. If you have certain dietary needs that were indicated during registration, there will be food available for you to eat at each meal. For any questions, please email [email protected].

Can I drive myself to HVR Execs?
Teens are not allowed, under any circumstance, to drive themselves to overnight events. We hold BBYO teen's safety and security to the highest standard and driving home after a tiring weekend is something we do not allow. If you are in a jam, please reach out to [email protected].

Will my dietary needs be accommodated?
Please detail any allergies and/or dietary restrictions in your CampDoc responses. Just make sure you also indicate this on the registration form. All meals are kosher.
