Austin Jewish teens grades 8-12 are invited to kickoff the school year at our Boat Party on Lake Travis! Meet teens from our 4 chapters: Aaron Reichman AZA, Capital AZA, Litzor BBG, and Ra'naan BBG - and join them in some fun aquatic and on-board games! We will be serving kosher hot-dogs and veggie burgers for lunch (gluten-free buns available!). SPACE IS LIMITED SO REGISTER BY AUGUST 11 to guarantee your spot on the boat!

Q&A

Will there be lunch served?

Yes! We will be providing kosher hot dogs, veggie burgers, corn on the cob, and watermelon as well as chips and sodas! Please indicate whether you are in need of a gluten-free bun or have other allergy concerns.

 

Will there be drinking water on the boat?

Teens are encouraged to bring a refillable water bottle to refill at with our giant water coolers. We are also bringing plastic water bottles!

 

What water safety precautions are required?

ALL persons entering the water are required by law to properly wear a provided life vest.

 

Will I/my teen be able to board the boat if I/they arrive late?

No, the boat leaves promptly at 11:00am and will not return until 3:00pm.

 

Are there bathrooms on the boat?

Yes! Urine only please, feces must be deposited in a grocery bag then sealed and diposed in trash can.

 

Is there shade on the boat?

Yes, the bottom tier of the boat is shaded. We recommend all teens wear sunscreen and drink plenty of water.

 

Will there be adult chaprones?

Yes, we will have 6 adult chaperones (Advisors and parents) on each boat as well as 3 additional Marina staff personnel.

 

Are personal inflatables permitted?

Yes, but due to limited boat space all inflatables must remain uninflated until we have reached the swimming area.
