Travel Info

How will we get to camp?
Friday, May 17 at 1:30pm - The coach bus will depart from The YM/YWHA of Washington Heights & Inwood, located at 54 Nagle Avenue, New York, NY 10034. Please arrive by 1:15pm to ensure on-time departure.

How will we get home from camp?
Sunday, May 19 at 2:00pm - The coach bus will depart from camp and arrive at The Marlene Meyerson JCC Manhattan, located at 334 Amsterdam Ave (at 76th Street) at approximately 4:00pm.

Why is the bus leaving so early on Friday, May 17?
We leave during school hours to avoid Friday traffic and to ensure we arrive at camp prior to that evening's Shabbat candle lighting, We will provide excuses from school upon request.

Why are we departing from so far uptown on May 17?
Over the years we have found that a Northern Manhattan departure point allows for a more seamless exit from the city and a more pleasurable ride to our destination.

Are teens responsible for getting themselves to the bus on Friday and home from the bus on Sunday?
Yes. Teens are responsible for arranging their own transportation to and from the buses.

My teen can't take the bus one or both ways. What do we do?
If you have a conflict that prevents you from taking the bus either way, you can arrange transportation to and/or from Convention at your own expense. Please email Jon, Regional Director, at [email protected] if you register for Convention but do not plan to take the bus. Please include how you plan to get to and/or from Convention and what time you estimate you'll arrive and/or leave. Teens are not permitted to drive themselves, or other teens, to or from Convention.
