Get ready for the ultimate weekend of fun at BBYO Winter Convention 2023! 🎉Manhattan Region and Big Apple Region are thrilled to be teaming up for this year's Winter Convention, which promises to be the best weekend ever! 

We can hardly contain our excitement as we extend a warm invitation to YOU to be a part of Winter Convention 2023; join us from December 15th to 17th for an unforgettable 3-day, 2-night event in the NYC area. Over 200 spirited teens will gather for an epic weekend.

Expect thrilling workshops, inspiring speakers, and loads of surprises; all will have a focus on Israel. Plus, we've got the classics – singing, scrumptious food, and non-stop dancing! General Questions:

1. Who Can Attend Winter Convention?
   - Any 8th through 12th-grade member of BBYO Manhattan Region is eligible to attend Convention. If you're not a member, you can sign up here

2. Can 8th Graders Attend Convention?
   - Yes, 8th graders who are BBYO members are welcome!

3. What's Included in my Convention Registration?
   - Your Fee covers bus travel, all meals from Friday dinner to Sunday brunch, hotel accommodations, and convention speakers and programs!

4. Early Bird Discount?
   - The early bird price for Convention is $460. Watch out for flash sales and early registration offers happening October 18th - November 1st! 

5. Refund Policy:
   - The deadline for refund requests is November 15th at 11:59 PM. Email Senior Regional Director Emmy, at [email protected] before the deadline.

6. Scholarship Availability:
   - Yes, scholarship applications are due by November 15th @ 11:59 PM. Apply here!

7. Registration Closing:
   - Registration closes at 11:59 PM on November 27th or when our bus fills up, whichever comes first. Secure your spot today!

 

Logistics:

8. Packing List:
   - You'll receive a packing list from your Regional S'ganim and staff the week before the Winter Convention.

9. Bus Information:
   - Buses depart from the UWS around 1:00 PM on Friday, December 15th. Exact location details will be released closer to the Convention.

10. School Excuses:
    - BBYO can provide written excuses for leaving school early on Friday. Contact Emmy at [email protected] for a letter.

11. Early Departure:
    - We leave early on Friday to beat traffic, arrive before Shabbat, and allow time to prepare for Shabbat celebration.

12. Accommodation:
    - Teens will sleep in double hotel rooms with members of the same gender.

13. Roommate Options:
    - If you prefer fewer roommates, upgrade to a room with one other person for $530 (Earlybird) or $560 after November 16th. Email Emmy at [email protected] if you are interested.

14. Adult Supervision:
    - Adult staff and volunteers will ensure safety, security, and health, maintaining a minimum ratio of 1 adult per 20 teens.

 

Food and Dietary Needs:

15. Meals:
    - Vegetarian, kosher-style meals will be provided all weekend. Indicate if you require Glatt Kosher on the registration form. Teens will be told to have a filling lunch before the bus ride! 

16. Dietary Needs:
    - Specify allergies and dietary restrictions in your CampDoc.com responses. All convention meals are kosher-style; specify if you need glatt kosher meals (certified kosher). 

17. Medication:
    - Teens are responsible for administering their own medication during the Convention. Detail medications on your CampDoc.com profile.

18. CampDoc.com Email:
    - After registering, you'll receive an email from CampDoc.com to complete your profile. Profiles must be 100% complete by November 30th for attendance.

20. What will security be like at Convention?

    -The Safety and security of your teens are our top priority. We are taking measures to ensure that all convention participants are safe.
