MAR is ready to be back together, fully in-person, at Spring Convention 2022. The weekend will be full of fun programming, getting to know Jewish teens from all around the region, and making memories and new friendships that are for sure to last.

ATTENDEES:   This incredible weekend is open to any BBYO member in grades 8 -12 in the Mid-America Region, BBYO staff and advisors.

REGISTRATION:   Registration will open on Monday February 28th & will close  on Monday March 28th at 11:59pm. Late registrations will be accepted based on availability. The last day to receive a full refund is Monday, March 28th. You can cancel by April 15th for a 50% refund.  No refunds will be issued after April 15th.  Please contact Ben Panet [email protected] with any questions.

SCHOLARSHIPS:  Please complete our scholarship form here: The deadline to submit scholarship applications is Monday March 28th. Each family will be contacted via email by the regional office with the amount of scholarship awarded by MArch 30th. Once you accept the scholarship, the regional office will register you for the convention and then you can pay the balance.  If you are requesting scholarship money, please do not register online until awards are announced.

HEALTH REQUIREMENTS AND FORMS:  Beginning in August 2021, BBYO is requiring all teens, staff, and advisors attending any overnight programs (chapter, city, council, regional, and international programs) based in the United States to be fully vaccinated (vax date plus two weeks). Currently, Moderna, Pfizer, Astra Zeneca, or Johnson & Johnson are the accepted vaccines.

  1. If your teen attended a BBYO summer program and has already uploaded their vaccination card to CampDoc, BBYO will transfer that over to their MyBBYO account so you do not need to do anything

  2. If your teen did not attend a BBYO summer program, follow these steps:

    1. Go to and sign into your account

    2. Under program alerts, you will see vaccine acknowledgement with the name of each of your teens and a button for the waiver

    3. Click on complete waiver

    4. Please read through entire waiver, sign and click submit

    5. Reminder: this will NOT show up on a teen account only a parent account

BBYO works with CampDoc, the leading electronic health record system. All participants and parents are required to complete a health file before attending a BBYO convention. Once you have registered for the convention, you will receive an email inviting you to join CampDoc. Accept the invitation and complete or update all forms. These forms provide dietary, medical and other important information. Teens will not be allowed to attend without a complete profile. 

ACCOMMODATIONS  AND  WHAT  TO  BRING:  A detailed packing list will be sent out in the weeks leading up to convention. The teens will be staying in cabins. The food will be kosher style – no mixing of milk and meat. When meat is served it is kosher.   

TRANSPORTATION:  A transportation and logistics email will go out one week prior to convention and will include transportation info and timing for each city.  Please note teens are never allowed to drive to BBYO  conventions.

St. Louis, Kansas City, and Omaha will take a coach style bus to the camp.  Minneapolis will fly to St. Louis where they will take a coach bus to camp.  For Minneapolis, Alyssa Cohen [email protected] will send you our recommended flights.  Departure and return times will differ for each city. What kind of food will be served?

We will have buffet style meals, all kosher style and vegetarian. If you/your teen have special dietary needs please contact Ben Panet [email protected].

What does the registration cost include?

Cost includes transportation, stay, all meals and snacks, t-shirt, supplies.  Scholarship is available can you can apply HERE

What do I bring?

A packing list will be sent out prior to, you will also need to bring your own bedding for a single bunk bed i.e. sleeping bag or sheets and blanets, pillow

What kind of COVID restrictions will be in place?

Convention participants will follow guidance and recommendations made by the CDC and BBYO policy.  All overnight BBYO events require all participants to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.  Please refer to BBYO's COVID Guidelines here:
