Meet Pete Davidson
Pete Davidson is a featured guest at International Convention this year. He is a comedian for Saturday Night Live and is known for his work as a writer and producer, including his semi-autobiographical project King of Staten Island.
Pete Davidson was born on November 16, 1993, in Staten Island, New York. Davidson was born to a Jewish father and Irish Catholic mother. He was raised as a Catholic. His father was one of the New York City firefighters that lost their life due to the 9/11 attacks. This had a profound influence on his mental character and has influenced his creative works throughout his life.
At the age of 16, Davidson began to pursue his comedic interests. He started by performing standup at a local bowling alley, until he later dropped out of St. Francis College in Brooklyn Heights to pursue comedy full-time.
His first television appearance was through an MTV comedy series called Failosophy which premiered in 2013. His first televised standup was not until later that year, for the Comedy Central program Gotham Comedy Live.
Later on, in 2014, he was finally given the opportunity to become a featured cast member for SNL or Saturday Night Live. Some of his best work includes his character Chad in notable skits such as “Pool Boy” or even in a Weekend Update where he discusses transgender rights!
Recently, he wrote and starred in the semi-autobiographical film known as King of Staten Island. The story revolves around an aspiring tattoo artist and college dropout who has to cope with his father’s passing due to a local hotel fire, among other challenges he faces.
Nonetheless, Alephs and BBGs worldwide are excited to meet him and get to hear him speak and hear more about his career path, and comedy routines. Aliyah Schwarz from North Texas Oklahoma, shares her excitement. “SNL is my favorite show, and I can’t wait to get to hang out with my favorite, Pete Davidson!”
Make sure to register for International Convention if you haven’t already, to ensure that you don’t miss out on this once-in-a-lifetime experience!
