Advice for International Convention
Last year I attended my first International Convention as a freshman having no idea what to expect. Although I was unaware of how the five days would go, I ended up having a blast. Thus, I've decided to share a few anecdotes on how to best prepare for an amazing experience at IC in a few weeks.
Here are a few items that I recommend bringing. First, I highly recommend bringing a portable charger because there is little to no time to go back to your room each day, and it is important to have your phone to get in touch with your friends and know where to go. Adding on to being out for the majority of the day, I highly recommend bringing a small backpack or bag in order to carry around all of your needed supplies for the day. Whether this is your wallet, water bottle, or a change of clothes, a bag allows you to be prepared for any situation. I also recommend bringing a reusable water bottle to ensure to stay hydrated through the hot heat of Dallas!
Moving on, the International Convention has so many phenomenal opportunities whether that's from listening to a Holocaust survivor's story to meeting celebrities. I recommend that you take advantage of every opportunity given over the course of the short five days of IC.
Overall, be sure to cherish the five days that you have at International Convention for it passes in a blink of an eye.
