After a long day of travel and an exciting night, kicking off our centennial celebration, we officially started programming off with a wide variety of AZAA/BBGG sports and wellness programs. I had the pleasure of going to this year‘s AZAA/BBGG basketball tournament!

I’m sure I can speak for all buses when I say that we had an enjoyable bus ride as we listened to music and made new friends. We arrived at the recreation center around 10:30, and the center was certainly impressive! There were what felt like endless amounts of space for every sport you could imagine. From flag football to basketball to volleyball to even Israeli dancing, every teen had endless options at AZAA/BBG on this memorable Friday morning.

In terms of the basketball tournament, the courts were alongside our friends over at the volleyball tournament, so even when we weren’t out on the court, we could still support our friends at another tournament. With 6 courts, everyone had the chance to play, which is always great when there are so many other teens.

Right after lunch and before we left our amazing day, we were surprised with a smoothie truck where we could replenish our bodies before Shabbat after a long day of activity. As we head back on the bus, I reflect on the amazing day I had, and I am so excited for the rest of IC 2024!
