This year as GJHRR’s Northern Council Morah, it has been a part of my job to plan “BBYO University”. Our overnight has been redesigned this year, and planning it has definitely not been an easy job. I have dedicated every Wednesday night since September to sitting on long Zoom calls, creating programs that will hopefully be engaging to everyone attending. Planning this convention has been a huge opportunity that I will never forget. Creating programs that inspire our future generations of teens has been amazing, even when I have those long nights where all I want to do is go to sleep. I have been working with three other amazing teens, and together we have created an amazing convention. Although I have put so much energy into this convention, I wouldn’t change this experience for anything. If you have the opportunity to steer or coordinate any kind of convention or program, do it. You will learn so much about yourself and the kind of leader you are.
