Argentina: What A Country!
I was born and raised in Argentina. It could have been any other place, but I am lucky enough to say that not only am I Argentinian, but I’m also a world champion!
I’m fully aware that my country isn’t the best or the most glamorous, but believe me when I tell you that it has its unique beauty.
There are so many things I can list about Argentina, both positive and negative, but to me, it is the perfect balance between both that makes it a beautiful place.
We have one of the biggest economic crises, we once had five Presidents in one week, political issues are a recurrent subject for discussions at family dinners, we had six coups d’etat and two terrorist attacks against both Argentinians and the Jewish community, and people are still, twenty-two years later, fighting for justice.
You may be wondering why even though all the things I listed are awful, I still believe it is a great country, and the real reason isn’t the country itself, it is its people.
Argentinians are quick, we can adapt easily, we all have a history in common, and although there may be political differences or arguments about soccer teams, when it comes to our country and reaching out to others, I can guarantee you that Argentinians are the very best. We are welcoming, friendly, and protective of each other.
