DIML @ Florida Fall Convention
DAY 1 OF FLORIDA FALL CON:
4:00pm: Help set up registration steering
5:00pm: Greet teens at entrance, teens start arriving
5:30pm: Opening ceremonies!! Met coordinators… and the only and only International N’siah, Mercedes!
6:30pm: Dinner :))) had fun summer program traditions! Shabbat Shalom!!!!
7:30pm: Camp shabbat! Got to sing my favorite summer songs just like how we would in the amphitheater at CLTC!
9:00pm: Snack time!! Churros and chocolate syrup never fails
9:20pm: Summer invite program! Saw a different perspective of what going on summer was like.
10:00pm: Met new friends in Miami Region and North Florida Region!
10:45pm: Laila Tov!!!
DAY 2 OF FLORIDA FALL CON:
8:30am: Boker Tov!
9:00am: Went downstairs for breakfast
9:15am: Time to eat :)))
10:00am: Tropical shabbat! Got to watch my friends steering put all their hard work into action.
11:00am: Free time to meet new teens!
11:45am: Keshet crafts! Made Tzedakah bags, stress balls, cards for IDF, and besamim (fragrant spices)
12:30pm: Athletics with Max!
1:15pm: Lunch time! My fav meal tradition is the Birkat.
2:15pm: Teen program round 1 - B’nai Mitzvah throwback! Played family feud jewish edition and coke and pepsi just how we would at mitzvahs!
3:15pm: Teen program round 2 - BBG Bootcamp! Learned the UNITED chant and sang some of my favorite BBG chants!
4:30pm: Chofesh! Hung out in the hotel lobby.
6:45pm: got ready for the “Matzo Ball” dance!
7:00pm: Dinner tiiiiimeeee!
8:00pm: Separates! Attended ‘Together Separates’ which was a mix of BBG and AZA traditions as one. It was an amazing set of activities where I got to bond with fellow Alephs and BBG’s.
9:00pm: Havdalah!!! My #1 favorite part of conventions. A time where I really get to bond with my friends and sing my heart out just like we do at CLTC.
9:45pm: Matzo Ball dance time! Shoutout Charlie Bern for DJ-ing!
11:30pm: Laila Tov! Last night :(((
DAY 3 OF FLORIDA FALL CON:
8:30am: Boker Tov! Last morning, super sad :(
9:00am: Breakfast time! Met in dining area
9:15am: Got my food, best meal of the day!
10:00am: Regions broke up to move into a business meeting to make history!!!
11:00am: Helped pass legislation to make a more fair-process election standard! Also gave Gold Coast Region its official colors! Go Aliens!!!
11:30am: Closing ceremonies! Another great part of conventions where BBG’s and AZA’s divide into spirit circles.
12:00pm: Said final goodbyes departed home :(( An amazing weekend with Florida!
