IC Leads Day + Kickoff Recap
The first full day of the International Convention was amazing! The convention started off with time for exploration of our convention’s many amenities, from the J-LAB to the Shuk to our very own Zen Zone! The opening night concluded with an incredible hype concert from Andy Grammer!
Valentine’s Day was composed primarily of Elections, AZAA/BBGG, and LEADS Events. After breakfast, teens split into their groups. Regional board members and other delegates headed to elections for 8 hours of electing our AZA and BBG international boards!! Teens who chose to attend AZAA and BBGG programming drove out to sports complexes across the city to participate in contested matches of basketball, futsal, ice hockey, volleyball, lacrosse, and more. Teens attending LEADs Day programs traveled out to zoos, nature parks, community service initiatives, stadiums, and even political panels to learn about leadership and the world surrounding us.
IC has been absolutely wonderful; Teens from across the country are curating new lifelong connections. The first two days were full of the perfect balance of play and learning, and more is to follow. Stay tuned for frequent updates on IC activities, speakers, stations, and more.
