Avengers Doomsday is just over a year away, and Marvel fans cannot wait! Though we have very little information on what’s to come, there are plenty of theories and leaks that will help us find a gateway. Warning: this article contains spoilers!

First, let’s discuss Doom’s identity, Tony Stark. How did Tony Stark from the particular universe Doom is from become a villain instead of the hero? There are many theories out there, like this one from TikTok, which states that Tony Stark was meant to be Doom in every universe, and it just so happens that Universe 616 (the main MCU timeline) was the only one where Tony became a hero. Another TikTok says that Tony Stark from 2012 (seen in Endgame during the time travel scenes) is the real Doom. The TikTok says that when Loki ran away with the tesseract, the Avengers got it back, and Tony saw into the future and all his friends trying to “kill him,” as well as Captain America saying Hail Hydra. This drives Tony mad and turns him into a villain. Another article by The Week states that Doom could either be an evil Tony variant or there could also be a body swap.

Everything in the main MCU timeline is in universe 616. As we know from Fantastic Four First Steps, they are in a different universe (Earth- 828), and we know that the Fantastic Four come to universe 616, as seen in the Thunderbolts post-credit scene. So, how does the Fantastic Four get to universe 616? This site does a good job explaining what could happen. In the Fantastic Four movie, Galactus’ ship (Taa II) was left on their Earth. Reed Richards mentions that he can study the ship, but it will take years. Reed also builds an inter-universe teleportation system, which they used in the battle against Galactus. Could the Fantastic Four take a ride on the ship and use the universe teleportation system? Why would the Fantastic Four leave their planet? There are some theories circulating on the internet, the most popular of which are the following two. As seen in the end credits of the newest Fantastic Four movie, Doom is with Sue’s child, Franklin. Could Doom have possibly taken Ben captive to universe 616, and the Fantastic Four follow suit? Another theory is that universe 828 is destroyed, so they must travel to the next best universe, universe 616.
