Kickoff season is a magical time filled with new friends, fun activities, and huge events! This is my personal favorite time of the year, as I love getting to know new members and reuniting with old friends.

My chapter, Summit BBG, kicked off the year with a paint party event on September 14th! This event was amazing and had a great turnout. We began by doing icebreakers as a chapter to get to know one another better. Then, BBGs were assigned to different color teams, where they painted each other in their team color and came up with a team name. Following the introduction of these teams,  BBGs competed in a paint balloon fight. We then moved into an activity rotation, with a slip-and-slide and ultimate soap, which was so much fun! The event closed with a pizza party. Members left the event eager for more, which is why it was so perfect that the Nassau Suffolk Region’s kickoff was just a few weeks after!

NSR’s kickoff event was held at Adventureland, Long Island’s local amusement park. This event is absolutely iconic for NSR, and is one of the region’s most popular and exciting events of the year! Chapters from across the region came together on October 11th for a fabulous introduction to the programming year. Members had the opportunity to reunite with old friends and make new ones, while also going on awesome roller coasters and rides! The event closed with a meaningful Havdalah service led by our regional Shlichim. This year’s kickoff events are just the start of the best programming year yet!
