Three Things to do This Summer to Prepare for Next Term
With the end of the school year, next term will be here before you know it. With everything that happens once school starts, taking this time to get ahead will allow you to hit the ground running once fall comes around. Here are three simple ways you can prepare for the BBYO year over the summer.
Brainstorm Ideas
From programs to other initiatives, BBYO has many projects people work on throughout the year. Thinking of a fun holiday program or a speaker that you want for an event can help streamline the planning process later in the year. While you do not need to plan the entire event, writing the idea down can help you remember.
Update Prospect List
As a new school year starts, more eighth graders are ready to join BBYO. By recording known prospects information over summer, you can ensure that they can be reached once fall kickoffs are happening. Additionally, making sure all information is correct will make recruitment easier.
Check Community Calendar
Having teens at events is extremely important. Making sure events don’t conflict with major community events, such as school dances and SAT/ACT dates. Doing this now will save you work later and make sure no big group is missing BBYO due to an event.
