As each summer program is beginning, it is important to have the perfect playlist to go with it, so here are my top 10 recommendations:

  1. Take Me Home, Country Roads - John Denver
“All my memories gather 'round her.” BBYO Summer is one of the ways to make the most lifelong friendships and connections. This song especially is a classic that everyone knows.

  1. Home - Phillip Phillips
“Just know you're not alone, 'Cause I'm gonna make this place your home.” BBYO becomes a home for every teen inside of it. It is a place where no matter how alone you feel, there is always someone out there to be there for you.

  1. The Days - Chrystal and NOTION
“Do you think about the days?” BBYO Summer creates such amazing memories and moments to remember. It is important to remember them as you continue on in BBYO and prepare for new experiences to come.

  1. Riptide - Vance Joy
“I just wanna, I just wanna know, If you’re gonna, if you’re gonna stay.” BBYO helps to create some of the best lifelong friendships and connections. This song reminds you that the connections are here to stay and not just for a short amount of time.

  1. Stick Season - Noah Kahan
“And I’ll dream each night of some version of you, that I might not have, but I did not lose.” This song represents the memories made. When you dream about your summer experience, it is important to not miss the time there but to cherish it.

  1. Unwritten - Natasha Bedingfield
“No one else can feel it for you, only you can let it in.” While you can hear the stories about the summer experiences within BBYO, experiencing them yourself is a whole different thing. It makes the self-discovery of what BBYO has to offer so much better and makes you enjoy the memories more.

  1. Wonderwall - Oasis
“Maybe, You’re gonna be the one that saves me.”  Everyone has a different reason for attending BBYO Summer, but one key reason is connections. The people you meet at summer will be some of the most genuine. These are the connections that you can call for anything and they will help no matter what.

  1. Ain’t No Mountain High Enough - Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell
“If you need me call me, no matter where you are, no matter how far.” This song is my favorite for summer since it was one of my CLTC songs. Hearing it reminds me that no matter how far you live from your friends you can always stay in touch.

  1. Stand By Me - Ben E. King
“Just as long as you stand, stand by me.” Summer programs give you the opportunity to find your people: the people that will stand by you no matter what happens in life.

  1. Rivers and Roads - The Head and the Heart
“A year from now we'll all be gone, All our friends will move away, And they're goin' to better places, But our friends will be gone away.” Our time in BBYO is short, so forming connections is vital. These are the people that you could go to college with or be the reason to visit somewhere new.
