The Sisterhood I’ve Found Since Becoming a BBG
When I joined BBYO, I couldn’t have predicted that I’d make as many amazing friendships as I have. Being a member of Ahavah BBG #2303 has given me so many friendships that I hope will last a lifetime. Whenever I’m at a chapter event, a regional BBG event, or a crossover event with another NSR #19 BBG chapter, I truly feel such a strong sense of sisterhood and friendship. There is never a dull moment when I’m surrounded by the friends I’ve made in BBYO. I’m always looking forward to the week ending because I know there is a chapter or regional event waiting for me at the end of it. The welcoming and positive environment of BBYO is like no other. I’m always so excited to go to chapter events and see all my friends. When I’m with my Ahavah Angels, we’re always laughing and smiling.
I just know that one of the things I’ll miss most when I graduate from high school and head to college next year is BBYO. Not only has joining BBYO led me to form amazing friendships that I am forever grateful for, but it has also brought me closer to my Jewish identity. To me, a big part of the sisterhood that we have is that we’re all proud to be young Jewish women. Without our Jewish identity, we would not be brought together by the beautiful thing that is BBYO. I will always be grateful to be a BBG and grateful for the friendships I’ve made. Although my time in BBYO is coming to an end as I finish high school, BBYO and the friends I’ve made along the way will always have a special place in my heart.
