Rosh Hashanah is all about new beginnings, traditions, and hoping for a sweet year ahead, and what better way to celebrate than with BBYO friends! Judy Kravitz BBG #1219 joined together with Rubin Kaplan AZA #841 for a Rosh Hashanah event filled with fun activities, delicious food, and meaningful moments that brought everyone together.

We started by celebrating Shabbat, giving everyone a chance to slow down, connect, and enjoy the meaning behind the traditions we were celebrating. Of course, no Rosh Hashanah celebration would be complete without challah, apples, and honey! We got to enjoy these classic foods while celebrating the start of a new Jewish year and sharing time with friends.

One of the highlights of the night was our honey-tasting challenge! Everyone was blindfolded and went head-to-head against another person to see who could guess the flavor of honey correctly. Watching everyone try to figure out what they were tasting without being able to see anything was such an awesome experience. Some flavors were easier to guess than others, and the competition definitely made things more exciting! It was such a fun way to incorporate one of Rosh Hashanah's most recognizable traditions into an activity everyone could participate in.

We also played a Rosh Hashanah Kahoot to test our knowledge of the holiday. It was a great way to learn more about the traditions and meaning behind Rosh Hashanah while adding a little friendly competition to the night. Whether we were answering questions, guessing honey flavors, or enjoying challah and apples dipped in honey, there was always something going on!

What made this event so special was getting to celebrate Jewish traditions with people from both Judy Kravitz BBG #1219 and Rubin Kaplan AZA #841. BBYO is about more than just attending events. It's about creating friendships, building connections, and finding ways to make Jewish life fun and meaningful. Being able to celebrate the New Year together reminded us how special it is to be part of a community that brings people together through shared traditions and experiences.

As we head into the New Year, this event was the perfect reminder that even the simplest traditions can create some of the sweetest memories. Between the laughter, the competition, and the time spent together, our Rosh Hashanah celebration was definitely a sweet way to start the year. Here's to a happy, healthy, and sweet New Year for everyone in BBYO!
