Camp BBYO is for BBYO members currently in 8th through 10th grade who are looking for a super fun week of camp activities with BBYO friends. It’s the best of BBYO—in a weeklong summer camp setting!

Participants will enjoy a wide range of outdoor activities, including sports, Maccabiah (color war), swimming, music, art, and more. You’ll form new friendships with fellow Alephs and BBGs, explore your Jewish values with a beautiful Shabbat under the stars, and enjoy a much-needed opportunity to be in the great outdoors with friends.

BBYO has instituted a COVID fee of $100 per participant per session to cover expenses such as ​food service, cleaning, facility upgrades and additional medical supplies and personnel.

Camp BBYO August 5 – 12, 2021 – Perlman Camp, PA

TRANSPORTATION ARRANGEMENT AND CHARTER BUS INFORMATION

A charter bus will be provided from the Newark Airport ONLY (approx. 2.5 hours to camp).

Please make plans to arrive at the Newark Airport (EWR) no later than NOON. The bus will leave from Newark Airport at 1:00pm.

Staff will be at terminal A, door #1 on the baggage claim/ground transportation level to welcome your teen(s). Staff will be stationed at the bus pick-up areas at approximately 10:00am wearing a BBYO T-shirt.

If there is a flight delay, a staff person will stay at the airport to wait for the late arrivals.

If you are dropping your teen off at the airport, please have them meet the staff at terminal A, door#1 on the baggage claim/ground transportation level no later than NOON.

If you are driving to camp, please arrive between 4:00 - 4:30pm.

Departure flights – make after 2:00pm on August 12, 2021

If you are being picked up at camp, please arrive between 8:30 - 9:00am. All teens need to be picked up by 9:30am.

If you are picking your teen up at the airport, please come to Terminal A, Baggage Claim 1.

Note: Early Arrival: West Coast ONLY

If you are unable to arrive by NOON, the day camp begins and need to arrive the day before:

If you need to stay overnight in Newark the night before the program begins (usually for West Coast teens that may have difficulty arriving on time the day of), BBYO will make reservations at a hotel near the Airport.  Staff will be present in the hotel that evening.  If you choose to stay at the hotel the night before, please make your flight arriving to Newark in the late afternoon or early evening (please no arrivals after 7:00 pm).  These arrangements are made on a reservation only basis at the participant’s cost.  You must notify Sabrina Moore that a hotel is required by emailing: [email protected]    The fee for this is $130.

Teens must stay within the arrival and departure guidelines and may not arrive to the program early or late without written approval from the Site Director or International office. You will be responsible for any fees related to travel outside of BBYO’s guidelines.

Please do not be concerned about the long wait at the airport! Teens have a fun time meeting everyone, playing games, and generally just hanging out. The staff will keep them entertained.

Is Camp BBYO for you?
Camp BBYO is a great program for Alephs and BBGs currently in 8th through 10th grade who have an interest in exploring camp activities with their BBYO friends.

How many teens attend Camp BBYO?
Camp BBYO will have participants come from every region across the Order.

Who staffs Camp BBYO?
BBYO programming professionals and advisors will serve as the site director and program director. We’ll also be joined by Jewish educators, song leaders, expert specialists, college-age counselors (madrichim), and an office manager.

Is the food at Perlman Kosher?
Perlman Camp is a Kosher facility that only serves foods that have been produced under rabbinical supervision.

What do I do about medication?
Participants must register in advance with CampMeds, a service that provides pre-packaged, pre-dosaged medication to participants who require it. There is a $250 fee for those who do not register and arrive at camp with their medications. The exceptions to this are inhalers, birth control, epi-pens, nasal sprays, injectable medications, prescription ointments, and refrigerated medication.
